A Bad Haircut?

Right now I'm tearing my first draft into about a million shreds. I think it looks like someone with a really bad haircut. You know, chopped here, too long there, and maybe some mismatched dies scattered around that really need to be blended.

But.... I'm excited! I love what it's shaping into. The bad news is I have to write a totally different ending. A much better ending, of course.

I think I'm going to write it next week when my husband is off to China for his soccer tournament (Which by the way, we all should start hoping he wins. You know that sulking, bad mood and all stuff when he comes back without that trophy). I've been bouncing some really horrible stuff for my MC to go through--poor thing-- and a cool setting that I'm excited about.

So maybe this isn't really a bad haircut, but one in the making.

Anyone else need a haircut? I'll do yours for free.

As long as it's great in the end!

You need to post a picture of your kitty. Ours is a Birman, but they are pretty closely related to Persians.

They say the difference between a bad haircut and a good haircut is about two weeks. I wonder if that will work for you?
Good luck with the rewrites!

I recently got a major haircut ;)
now I have to finish my WIP before I shred it to pieces

:) that's a hard thing for me to do - I usually over edit as I go.

Mine is getting some extensions as we speak. The feedback I got it that it needs more (weird, I know). So that's what I'm working on.

Mine isn't in haircut mode yet. I'm in puzzle mode. A 60k piece puzzle - ha!

I feel like I'm slowly going insane with each word that I add because I'm not sure it's in the right spot and everything feels so convoluted.

Ahhhh!

Hope your haircut turns out fantabulous!

Yes, please hack it all off. Yes, all of it. You know what? How about bald? Bald is beautiful, I hear.

think of it as a makeover for your MS. It'll look fabulous, dah-ling, once the makeover is complete. :0)

It takes me forever to get through a draft because I want to edit it to death as I go.

Just give it a trim here and there to shape it up a bit. Maybe style it a differently. It might not be too far away from a grand do!

The best part about bad haircuts is that it always grows out to be what you wanted in the first place...good luck growing out your bad haircut...I'm sure the final product will be wonderful! Hugs...
