SCBWI Korea

SCBWI now has a chapter in Korea! SCBWI stands for Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators and it is an organization that supports writers and illustrators. I'm so excited about having a chance to meet up with other children writers here in Asia and make connections and have a support group.
We will be starting some with meeting in local coffee shops and touring Korean bookstores but it's our hope to have author presentations and agent interviews too.

Looking forward to what is in store for the Korea chapter!

How great! And if I ever get my book published, I will come to Korea and present :)

I love the SCBWI. I started writing (seriously) when my oldest went off to college and had no idea what I was doing - until I joined the SCBWI.

Sounds great Beth. We are always looking for authors to do tours at the different international schools here.

Wonderful! SCBWI is such a great support system. Do you have a lot of illustrators? I've heard animation is big in Korea ...

Nandini- I'm not sure actually! We have our first meeting next week and I'm so excited.

Korea has so many talented artists here though. They are so creative so maybe.
